About the role

  • ISO New England is the independent system operator responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable flow of electricity in our region and planning for the future of the electric grid.
  • We have an important role to play in securing the region's clean and reliable energy future and are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain the enterprise data warehouse, data marts, and BI data systems that support business decision-making and strategic initiatives.
  • You will build reliable, scalable data solutions, improve efficiency through automation and innovation, and help ensure the quality, integrity, and performance of our data platforms.
  • We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.
  • Establish standards and best practices for data modeling, transformation, and system design.
  • Drive Platform Performance & Reliability Ensure high availability and performance of data systems through optimization, monitoring, and operational excellence.
  • Lead Data Strategy & Integration Partner with business and IT stakeholders to align data architecture with organizational goals.
  • Drive integration of data systems and ensure consistency, accessibility, and usability of enterprise data.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support mission-critical analytics in production.

Requirements

  • If the successful candidate resides outside of the U.S., relocation will be required.

Compensation

  • The expected salary range for a Lead Data Engineer is $150,000 - $170,000 per year.
  • The pay range for the Mid to Senior level is $110,000 - $150,000 annually.
