About the role
- MRC volunteers are critical in enhancing community resilience by providing medical and non-medical support during emergencies, public health crises, and other community events.
- The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) Team Member is a volunteer position that assists Marathon County Emergency Management and the Marathon County Health Department in disaster response, public health initiatives, community preparedness, and community health outreach.
Responsibilities
- Provide logistical and other administrative support during emergencies.
Requirements
- Ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environments,
- If you become a finalist for the position, your identity may be disclosed as required by law
- MRC volunteers can be medical and non-medical professionals, such as physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, EMTs, Firefighters, veterinarians, epidemiologists, interpreters, chaplains, office workers, and more,
- Experience or interest in public health, emergency management, or community engagement is a plus,
- Volunteer Spirit: Demonstrate a strong commitment to volunteerism and community service.

Skills
- Emergency Response Assistance during public emergencies, including natural disasters, pandemics, or mass casualty events,
- Assist with damage assessments.
- Assist with Multi-Agency Resource Centers.
- Assist in the Emergency Operations Center.
