Responsibilities

  • Perform duties as liaison with construction managers and other contacts to facilitate project objectives.
  • Work with Cost Accounting to manage the financial aspects of the contract to protect company interest and maintain good relations with customers.

Requirements

  • A college degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is required
  • Valid state driver's license and must be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of Company's Driving Policy.
  • Ability to pass a drug, driving, and background screening.
  • Eligible after 1 year of service, must be taken within the calendar year.

Nice to have

  • Two (2) years of experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar role preferred.

Skills

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Knowledge of database software, spreadsheet software and word processing software. Microsoft packages preferred.
  • Ability to learn costing and accounting procedures.
  • Ability to learn computer-based construction and scheduling programs.
  • Ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts, and make decisions based on available information.
  • Ability to use judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and effectively plan and organize duties to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work with concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal.
