About the role
- - PAY: ($25.65 - $35.50) + $3,000 Sign & Stay Bonus
- Primarily responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of various mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and conveying systems/types of industrial equipment for poultry processing plant. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance using blueprints and diagrams to verify that all equipment is operating within required specifications and tolerances.
Responsibilities
- Identify unsafe conditions and corrects; reports to appropriate personnel if unable to correct on own
- May perform periodic testing and inspections, troubleshooting and repairs.
- Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required.
- notify appropriate personnel if further attention is required
- Pass NOCTI Mechanical/Electrical test, Level 1 required
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance using blueprints and diagrams to verify that all equipment is operating within required specifications and tolerances.
- Identify root cause of basic mechanical issues and performs repairs by welding, fabricating parts, basic pipefitting or replacing defective component; notify appropriate personnel if further attention is required
Skills
- Intermediate math and computer skills
- Ability to operate/use basic hand and power tools
- Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
- Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character
