Job classification: A5068 - Information Officer II
Salary range: $70,566.71- 77,398.10 ( Placement within the range is typically based upon a review of skills, experience, and internal equity)

Through strategic programming, partnership development, and impact evaluation, the Specialist contributes to a coordinated and culturally safe support system for Indigenous students.
Lead and oversee the Indigenous Student Housing Program, including student selection, bursary administration, and program delivery aligned with student needs.
Develop and implement proactive retention strategies that support Indigenous student persistence, academic success, and program completion.
Identify and support students facing academic, financial, housing, or personal challenges through early intervention and coordinated support services.
Collaborate with Student Services and campus partners to provide holistic, culturally safe, and student-centered supports.
Design and deliver culturally grounded programs and events that foster community, belonging, engagement, and student success.
Build and maintain strong partnerships across the institution to align housing supports with broader Indigenous student success initiatives.
Identify emerging trends and opportunities, and support funding proposals and partnerships through program insights and impact reporting.
