  • Salary range: $70,566.71- 77,398.10 ( Placement within the range is typically based upon a review of skills, experience, and internal equity)

Responsibilities

  • Through strategic programming, partnership development, and impact evaluation, the Specialist contributes to a coordinated and culturally safe support system for Indigenous students.
  • Lead and oversee the Indigenous Student Housing Program, including student selection, bursary administration, and program delivery aligned with student needs.
  • Develop and implement proactive retention strategies that support Indigenous student persistence, academic success, and program completion.
  • Identify and support students facing academic, financial, housing, or personal challenges through early intervention and coordinated support services.
  • Collaborate with Student Services and campus partners to provide holistic, culturally safe, and student-centered supports.
  • Design and deliver culturally grounded programs and events that foster community, belonging, engagement, and student success.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships across the institution to align housing supports with broader Indigenous student success initiatives.
  • Identify emerging trends and opportunities, and support funding proposals and partnerships through program insights and impact reporting.

  • $70,566.71- 77,398.10 ( Placement within the range is typically based upon a review of skills, experience, and internal equity)
  • Paid leave: 3 weeks vacation per year
