About the role

Integrated Clinical Services (ICS) provides quality health services for people who experience barriers to accessing care.
The Dental Assistant (EFDA) - KSA - Spanish is responsible for a variety of duties to assist Dentists and Dental Hygienists in the delivery of dental care to patients.

Clinical Functions and Provider Support
Performs all aspects of 4-handed dentistry using effective and efficient techniques; mixes materials; places rubber dam; takes study models impressions.

BLS CPR Certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
Successful completion of courses of instruction required prior to certification.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA): This position requires the ability to speak, read and write fluently in Spanish and English (language testing may be required).

Health Department
The Dental Program works with many community partners, targeting underserved populations in Multnomah County to ensure access to dental services including providing education, prevention and dental treatment.
Provides direct clinical assistance and support to Dentists and Dental Hygienists
Performs Dental Assisting and expanded functions, including rubber cup prophylaxis, applying sealants, polishing amalgams, placing/removing matrix retainers, removes excess cement and placing temporary restorations.
