About the role
- Ensure engineering best practices across code quality, testing, security, and deployment.
- Contribute to technical strategy, architecture discussions, and long-term planning.
- Take operational ownership of systems and services, including monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, root cause analysis, and implementing both short-term fixes and long-term improvements to ensure system reliability and uptime.
Responsibilities
- Confidential support services, including free therapy sessions.
- You'll manage a team of full stack and backend engineers, foster technical excellence, and collaborate cross-functionally to bring innovative products to life.
- This role also requires strong data engineering and operational ownership capabilities, including maintaining production stability, managing ETL workflows, and partnering directly with clients to deliver end-to-end technical solutions.
- Partner with product management, QA, and architecture teams to deliver high-quality software on time and within scope.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable applications and APIs built primarily in Java and Python.
- Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/data integration pipelines to support internal and client-facing data platforms.
- Support, mentor, and develop junior software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Drive sprint planning, resource allocation, and performance reviews for your team.
- Work directly with clients to gather requirements, propose technical solutions, manage project execution, and oversee delivery from design through deployment and post-release support.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and independently drive projects to successful completion.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java and strong working experience with Python.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Strong experience with ETL processes, data integration, and data pipeline development.
- Working knowledge of Docker and modern CI/CD practices.
- Experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting, incident management, and maintaining highly available production environments.
Nice to have
- Experience managing full stack teams (frontend + backend) preferred.
- Background in fintech, enterprise SaaS, or other regulated technology environments preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure preferred.

Compensation
- $140,000 - $160,000 Retirement Savings: 401(k) plan with employer contributions.
