Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications using technologies such as Java,.NET, React, and Angular
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from ideation through production support
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and data partners
  • Build cloud and platform capabilities
  • Develop and deploy applications using cloud-native architectures (AWS, with GCP for AI capabilities)
  • Support cloud modernization and platform engineering initiatives
  • Support integration of AI and automation into business workflows and applications
  • Develop awareness of responsible AI and ethical engineering practices
  • Deliver business impact while growing your capabilities
  • Continued capability-building focused on modern engineering, cloud, and AI

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (expected graduation: May 2027) in:
  • Experience and Exposure to Some or All of the Following
  • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines
  • Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role.

Nice to have

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 at time of graduation
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Foundational programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
  • Exposure to web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks)
  • Understanding of software development principles and Agile methodologies
  • Familiarity or experience with AI concepts
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred
  • GCP or Azure helpful)

Compensation

  • The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market.
  • Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role.
  • The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees.
  • Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
  • $70,000 - $105,000
