About the role

- The approximate base salary range for this position is $145,600 - $227,500.

Responsibilities
- Design and analyze new quantum algorithms with demonstrable computational advantage.
- Collaborate with the applications team to optimize performance under realistic architectural constraints.
Requirements
- Familiarity with core quantum algorithmic techniques (e.g., amplitude amplification, phase estimation, Hamiltonian simulation, and quantum arithmetic primitives).
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related discipline with specialization in quantum computing.
- Strong research record in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory, as evidenced by top-tier publications or equivalent contributions.
- Deep understanding of quantum computational models and algorithmic complexity.
- Strong communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in using software packages for fault-tolerant quantum algorithms research and quantum resource estimation (e.g. Qualtran).
- Strong software engineering skills.
