About the role

  • In 1878 Clow was formed in Chicago as a jobber of wrought iron pipe and other foundry products.
  • The company was then known as James B Clow and Sons.
  • Clow acquired Eddy Valve in 1945 and Iowa Valve in 1947.

Responsibilities

  • This included a brass foundry, an iron foundry and the machine shop for machining and building of valves and hydrants.

Requirements

  • Ability to move neck forward/back & turn right/left, kneel, squat, & climb using arms and legs.
  • Ability to work with hands in water, around machinery, at unprotected heights, with dust & fumes & operate a crane, truck, forklift & other moving vehicles.
  • Ability to recognize and utilize all basic and portable power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
