About the role
- Our client is a leader in the fire protection industry. We are looking for a Fire Sprinkler Designer, responsible for producing code-compliant, constructible fire sprinkler system designs from concept through permit approval and construction support. Self-directed designer with deep knowledge of NFPA standards, strong field awareness, and proven experience
- using AutoSprink and / or Revit in a production environment. This role requires ownership of design quality, coordination, and constructability. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Design and layout fire protection sprinkler systems—including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, and tank systems—using specialized CAD software based on the AutoCAD
Requirements
- Self-directed designer with deep knowledge of NFPA standards, strong field awareness, and proven experience using AutoSprink and / or Revit in a production environment.
Nice to have
- Prepare complete design submittal packages and manage correspondence required to obtain design approvals and permits.
- Prepare fabrication lists for pipe fabrication vendors and requisition materials as needed.
- Communicate with AHJs, contractors, and other trades to ensure compliance and coordination.
- Support permitting and inspection processes, including preparation of required documentation.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and quality enhancement.
- Skills & Competencies
- Proven experience with AutoSprink or HydraCAD and / or Revit.
- NICET Level III-IV certification in Water-Based Systems Layout preferred.
