Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of scheduling experience required.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Education
- Experience
- Two years of long-term care experience preferred.
- Experience with direct patient care preferred.
- Other Requirements
- Working Conditions and Special Requirements
- Sitting - Up to 8 hours/day
- Standing - Up to 4 hours/day
- Walking - Up to 4 hours/day
- Lifting, transferring, pushing or pulling residents/patients or equipment/supplies - Up to 25 pounds
Nice to have
- Uses scheduling system to prepare Nursing Department schedule.
- Adjusts schedule according to staff availability.
- Keeps the staff current with changes in scheduling procedures and policies as needed.
- Uses the computer system to run reports and evaluate data entry accuracy.
- Edits or reports data entry accuracy problems as needed.
- Assists in the verification of data entry and payroll processes.
- Completes scheduling requirements, minimizing overtime wherever possible.
- Responsible for accurate, timely communication related to scheduling.
