  • Veterinary Emergency Services (VES) is seeking a skilled and motivated Emergency Veterinarian to join our well-established, highly respected 24/7 emergency hospital serving Verona and the surrounding communities.

  • DVM or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited program
  • Eligible for or currently holding a Virginia veterinary license
  • DEA license (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience or strong interest in emergency medicine
  • Team-oriented mindset and commitment to high-quality care
  • Strong medical, surgical, and diagnostic skills across emergency medicine
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities
  • Collaborates effectively in a fast-paced, client-centered environment
  • Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, safety, and high-quality patient care
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and safely handle animals up to 130 pounds
  • Comfortable sitting, standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods throughout your scheduled shift
  • Professional, neat appearance consistent with hospital standards
