About the role
- As a core member of Picogrid's hardware engineering team, you will help define our engineering culture and product roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of mechanical and wiring tasks, including repetitive and non-repetitive fabrication, final end product assembly, and field maintenance
- Develop manufacturing jigs to increase speed and yield of harness manufacturing
- Follow electrical schematics and harness drawings, and complete wiring tasks including crimping, building harnesses, wiring switchgear, soldering SMT and through-hole components
- Troubleshoot and rework circuit designs in development
- Manage part inventory for harness and PCBA assembly processes
- Organize and maintain tooling and equipment involved in harness manufacturing
- Travel 15-25% of your time across interesting and unique parts of the country to perform equipment installations and servicing
Requirements
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Nice to have
- 2+ years of experience with electrical/mechanical assembly
- Associate degree
- Military, aerospace, or IC background
- Track record of leadership demonstrated through management, public service, community organizing, or similar experience
Compensation
- Unlimited PTO (two-week minimum) and 11 paid holidays per year
- $70,000 - $120,000 per year.
- Base salary is just one part of your total compensation package at Picogrid.
