About the role

  • Works with all departments to review barriers to meeting expectations.
  • Assist with the development and utilization of risk assessment methods/systems for anticipating, identifying, and evaluating hazards.

Responsibilities

  • Support Safety at the CF Yazoo City Complex by providing technical and administrative support to achieve site and company safety goals.
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication and collaboration across site technical disciplines in order to reach the target audience of employees, contractors, and visitors to deliver and promote key safety messages.
  • Develop reports, action plans, and ensures timely follow-up for corrective actions identified through internal and external audits, incident investigations, industry best practice initiatives, etc.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of related professional work experience is required to complete all essential job functions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk prevention strategies along with risk assessment and mitigation applications to field activities.
  • Must be able to maintain a strong working knowledge of a wide variety of safety regulations and issues and performs tasks to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with safety audits and inspections.

Compensation

  • Maintains required stock of safety equipment, personnel training, injury and incident records, and workers' compensation case management.

Benefits

  • Associate or Bachelor Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, or relevant discipline preferred, as well as CPR and First Aid is desirable.
  • Experience with health, safety, hygiene and environmental standards and their application in the field.
