About the role
- This position is intended for those who are gaining experience as a Radiation Therapist or are experienced imaging professionals who wish to begin a career in Radiation Therapy.

- Assists with onboarding of new team members.
Responsibilities
- Under general supervision, provides patient centered care and support services as ordered by a care provider.
- Utilizes a variety of highly specialized radiation therapy equipment and techniques to perform a diverse range of therapeutic procedures in accordance within established scope of practice guidelines.
- Performs quality control checks, cleaning, disinfecting and other equipment maintenance tasks per manufacturer instructions for use and other regulatory guidelines.
- Safely administers contrast per protocol and identifies, manages, and escalates contrast reactions and changes in patient condition.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
- ARRT(RT)(T) certification required within 6 months of hire.
- ARRT(RT)(T) certification required upon hire.

- The Radiation Therapist delivers specialized radiation therapy services to OU Health patients to aid Providers in the diagnosis, care, treatment and surveillance of simple to complex conditions, defects and/or diseases.
- Collaborates with team members across OU Health including Providers to provide exceptional patient care.
- May provide on-call clinical coverage outside regularly scheduled duty hours on weekdays, weekends and holidays as assigned.
- May support OU Health's academic partnerships by actively engaging in teaching of students in the radiologic program.
