About the role
- Offers assistance in any way necessary to include assist out of their vehicle, locate wheelchair, provide directions, escort to destination, etc.
- Passes customer to volunteers for escorts when possible.
- Utilizes Admitting or other departments to verify destination and remains with the patient if they are alone or in a wheelchair.
Responsibilities
- Successfully manages the first impression of the facility.
- Works with hospital support staff that may include, but is not limited to: Public Safety, Environmental Services, Plant Operations, Patient Transport and Grounds.
Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk and/or run throughout work area approximately 95% of the workday.
- Ability to withstand exposure to weather elements 95% of the workday.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift approximately 50 lbs.
- Ability to tolerate minimal exposures of odors from auto emissions/gasoline.

- Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required: None Required.
- Experience Required: Typically requires 1 year of experience in service management as a concierge or greeter in a large public facility.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Compensation
- Department: 11624 AMC Mount Pleasant - Concierge Service Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 30 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Second shift, Monday - Friday (1:30pm-8:00pm for 30 hours) Pay Range: $18.85 - $28
