About the role
- Provide initial advisement to students and supervision of clinical experiences.
- Duties are performed in the context of a comprehensive community college, understanding of the community college mission and philosophy will be critical to success.
- Adjunct clinical faculty may teach didactic courses and clinical rotations as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Collaborate with the Nursing Program Director regarding student performance.
- Maintain student and client information in a confidential manner.
Requirements
- Strong commitment to quality teaching, student success, and academic excellence is required.
- Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours and maximum of 29 hours per week.
- Additional hours outside of clinical shifts are required for grading.
- Develop and submit course syllabi for all assigned courses, ensuring inclusion of all required components and tailored to the instructional modality utilized (online or face-to-face).
- The adjunct nursing instructor is a member of a nursing faculty team, providing didactic clinical instruction leading to a Certificate of Completion in Practical Nursing and Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Assist students to acquire appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes required of professional nurses.
