About the role

  • Join Manulife's Derivatives Product Team and help shape the future of trading, risk management, and AI-driven financial platforms.
  • We're seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with strong software engineering expertise and experience in derivatives trading systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance trading and risk management applications
  • Build cloud-native solutions on Azure using modern engineering practices
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineers to deliver strategic technology initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement through Agile delivery, automation, and engineering best practices

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-stack software development experience
  • Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Python
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, SQL Server, and Databricks
  • Strong understanding of Capital Markets and financial derivatives (options, futures, forwards, and swaps)
  • Experience integrating AI/ML or Generative AI solutions into enterprise applications

Nice to have

  • Derivatives pricing and risk management expertise
  • Experience with Bloomberg, Reuters, Murex, Findur, or Aladdin
  • Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, or enterprise copilot development experience
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income products and markets
