Responsibilities
- Collect blood, process specimens and perform reference laboratory processing in laboratory testing.
- Perform related techniques, such as blood glucose tests and blood cultures.
- Prepare samples for testing and manage specimens in the laboratory information system.
- High School Diploma or GED Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Blood collection experience from patients of all age groups

Requirements
- One year of college or equivalent Six months of experience in Phlebotomy and laboratory processing
- Communication by means of the spoken, written and typed word is required.
- Use of personal protective equipment is required as there is a potential for exposure to biohazardous or infectious agents when drawing and processing specimens.
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
- Mental Demands: Ability to work at a fast pace and to prioritize multiple assignments/projects and respond to numerous requests
