About the role

  • Address service requests from faculty, staff, and students, and complete assigned work orders from facilities supervisors.
  • include inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and minor installations related to heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, ensuring reliable and safe operation across multiple campus buildings.
  • Provide responsive, customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver courteous, timely support for faculty, staff, and student concerns.
  • Assess issues and determine when escalation or specialized support is needed.
  • Support special events and room setups.
  • Perform basic repairs to walls, floors, ceilings, windows, and doors.
  • Perform scheduled building inspections and maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and readiness of building common areas.
  • Check and maintain equipment such as sump pumps, filters, and fans.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance at the University campus with a strong focus on HVAC systems.

Requirements

  • Must be available 24/7 for emergencies and willing to work overtime.
  • Must be able to perform light troubleshooting of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical as needed.

Nice to have

  • Two-year degree or certification in a technical field.
  • Five or more years of experience in facilities maintenanc
  • Position requires background check and other applicable pre-employment checks.
  • Hourly wage is $32.87 per hour.
