Responsibilities
- We're seeking a Member of Technical Staff for Biosecurity to lead our safety benchmarking efforts, ensuring frontier artificial intelligence is deployed responsibly in biology.
- You will design our technical approach to understand how agents could be misused for biological harm, and measure where current safety guardrails fall short.
Requirements
- 5+ years hands-on experience with synthetic biology, virology, microbiology, or bioengineering
- Must be comfortable coding, running bioinformatics analyses in your area of expertise, and using biological design tools
- Proficiency in Python and/or R
Nice to have
- Experience in cloning and genome editing with reverse genetics being a plus
