In such capacity, this person will support the development and standardization of scalable environmental compliance programs for the current Electra facilities in Boulder and Broomfield and any future sites.
This individual will play a critical role in identifying legal requirements, securing necessary permits to support expansion, and implementing plans to achieve continuous compliance with all federal, state and local, environmental legal requirements.
Independently manages environmental compliance programs to ensure compliance with EPA, DOT, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations with limited supervision.
Develop and implement environmental policies, and procedures tailored to a chemical and heavy industrial environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into operational processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Lead environmental release or spill incident investigations and root cause analyses

Characterize all wastes and maintain effective records.
Contribute to and maintain emergency response plans, spill control, and fire protection systems, and ensure that they satisfy all RCRA, DOT, SPCC, and Stormwater emergency planning requirements.

Strong knowledge of hazardous materials handling and pollution control. <span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":240}
Coordinate any emissions performance testing, effluent or waste sampling and analysis as required.

Complete all required annual environmental reports required by site environmental permits or federal, state or local requirements (CAA, CWA, EPCRA, RCRA)
Travel as needed to obtain or maintain personal training/certifications and benchmarks internally and externally. Estimated to be approximately 2 weeks per year.

Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, environmental science, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of environmental experience in mining, manufacturing, chemical industry, or similar environment.
Proven experience developing and implementing environmental programs in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Experience solving complex environmental compliance issues with limited supervision
