About the role
- OmniOn Power is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Datacenter Power System Development Team.
- This role reports to the R&D Manager of Systems and is located at our HQ in Plano, TX.
Responsibilities
- Design documentation
- Testing and characterization in the lab with technical support staff
- Ensure all designs meet time-to-market and cost targets.
- Create detailed definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies using:
- Develop CAD models in a linked environment using Creo, and validate associated drawings.
- Generate electronic data models for engineering analysis (Ansys), tooling, fixtures, and inspection support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, sourcing, global engineering, systems engineering) to develop and support state-of-the-art DC/DC power systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product development of power systems products
- Proficiency with Pro-Engineer (Creo) CAD software
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and associated testing
