About the role
- Washington State University's Office of the Provost and Department of Academic Engagement & Student Engagement (DAESA) is now accepting applications for a Writing Program Assistant.
- In this Program Assistant role you will serve as the primary point of operational and administrative contact for the Writing Program Director.
- You will also handle unit course scheduling for Write classes and English 102, under supervision of the Writing Program Director.
Responsibilities
- You will manage the administrative aspects of the University Writing Portfolio and Placement Assessments under the direction of the Writing Program Director.
- 45% - Program Support
- 10% - Assessment Support
Requirements
- Experience communicating effectively with a variety of different populations, including students, faculty, staff, and the public.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (esp., Word, Excel, Outlook) and database software.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulations.

Nice to have
- Experience coordinating academic assessment, testing, or placement activities.

- Experience with MyWSU and Slate.

Compensation
- $3,565 to $4,476 | Range 39 | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
- In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position.
