About the role
- This role offers the opportunity to experience a wide range of commercial construction projects across the country that are involved in multi-million dollar disputes.
- This position can be located near an Ankura office anywhere in the U.S., with a strong preference for candidates who would be willing to be present in the Philadelphia Office.
Responsibilities
- Participate in data-gathering activities including document review and preparing technical work product.
- Assist with detailed, after-the-fact evaluations of Design and Construction Deficiencies and Defects, Water Infiltration/Intrusion, and Standard of Care for general contractors and design professionals.
- Support the Testifying Expert in their preparation for depositions, mediations, and trial, presenting complex technical and causation findings in a clear, concise, and objective manner.
- Support forensic analysis of pertinent design and construction documentation to determine contractual liability and cause-and-effect relationships between project events and alleged defects.
- Support engagement work planning, proposals, budgeting, and client communications for senior-level review.
- Providing support to a team of experts across various construction disciplines to solve dispute and litigation challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field from an accredited institution.
- 4 years of work experience in architecture or construction with an interest in consulting.
