About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities
- Collaborate with the accounting firm and assist in preparing year-end documentation
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controls
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed
- Collaborer avec le cabinet comptable et aider à la préparation des documents de fin d'exercice
- The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills to investigate discrepancies, ensure financial accuracy, and support forecasting and budgeting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum 2-3 years of full-cycle accounting experience
- This position requires English proficiency to communicate with stakeholders outside Quebec
- Strong knowledge of ASPE and accounting best practices
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
