About the role
- Ensure that the office runs efficiently at all times and patient needs are met in a timely and customer service friendly environment.
- The Office Manager is responsible for all phases of work, from determining priority to completion and also monitors and is responsible for the accuracy and quality of work performed by department staff.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a smooth workflow process in a stressful and high-volume family medicine clinic.
- Ensure good quality patient relationships. • Develop office processes and procedures for work activity.
- Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances or disputes.
- Manage difficult, financial or emotional patient situations.
- Develop office processes and procedures for work activity.
- Maintain department focus on customer service.
- Develop procedures and training for telephone and reception customer service principles and actions.
- Manage daily cash handling, credit card reports, co pay collection and reporting.
- Perform performance reviews with supervisors and oversee and review the performance review process for assigned areas.
Requirements
- The Office Manager must be able to work without direct day to day supervision, exercising independent judgment.
- The Office Manager must be able to analyze problems and draw upon experience and background knowledge to see that solutions are reached and assignments completed.
- Medical office management experience
- Analytical and management ability to manage processes for efficiency and customer service improvements.
- Ability to generate reports for analysis and implement actions to resolve problems or improve office workflow.
- Hours: Monday - Friday FT
Compensation
- Position Summary: Responsible for the supervision of department reception, telephone, medical records, and worker's compensation staff.
