About the role

As VP of Design, you will own the design vision and quality bar for Trustly's global product surfaces.
You'll build and lead a team of product designers, protect the integrity of the consumer experience through periods of rapid growth, and act as a key voice in shaping what Trustly builds and how it feels.
This role is for a design leader who cares deeply about craft, has the organizational savvy to protect it, and can operate at the intersection of design, product, and engineering.

Responsibilities

Build, lead, and mentor a team of product designers across multiple product surfaces
establish design culture, processes, and ways of working that scale with the organization.
Own Trustly's design system - ensuring consistency, accessibility, and efficiency across teams and platforms.
Partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership to integrate design deeply into every stage of the product development cycle - strategy, shipping, experimentation, feedback, and refinement - so design stays engaged well beyond launch.
Drive user research and usability testing practices that ground design decisions in real user needs and behaviors.
Act as a strategic design voice in executive conversations - advocating for design investment and articulating the business value of exceptional experience.
Deep expertise in design systems, interaction design, and visual design
Build, lead, and mentor a team of product designers across multiple product surfaces; establish design culture, processes, and ways of working that scale with the organization.
