About the role

  • We are seeking a Legal Contracts Manager with experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a high volume of routine and complex contracts.
  • The specialist will have the ability to analyze and interpret legal language and work directly with business colleagues to prepare contracts for execution and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with internal business partners regarding the risks presented by contract terms and possible strategies to mitigate such risk
  • Support administration of the company's contract management system (CMS)
  • Use a wide range of legal or specialized knowledge to provide legal support services in an efficient and timely manner
  • Research legal issues and engage in fact gathering and checking to provide support on all assigned legal matters

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree and 6+ years of relevant experience OR
  • Master's degree and 4+ years of related experience
  • Paralegal Certificate required
  • Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents and to effectively present information to business partners and management
  • Must be able to work independently and use judgment, within defined practices and policies, regarding contractual matters
  • Must have expertise with legal contracts and documents
  • Must have excellent computer skills, thorough working knowledge of computer software, including word processing, email and database programs
  • Must possess strong knowledge of a broad range of corporate matters
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior level law professionals
  • Has strong understanding of processes, procedures and systems used to accomplish the work and recognizes downstream impact on other functional areas

Nice to have

  • Biotech/Pharma industry experience strongly preferred

Compensation

  • The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $119,700.00-$164,000.00.
