About the role
- This role oversees schedule, cost, quality, safety, and coordination activities for low-voltage systems, including structured cabling, security, AV, controls, and related infrastructure.
- This position will serve as the primary point of contact between the Owner, General Contractor, low-voltage contractors, vendors, commissioning agents, and internal Operations teams.
- Permitting & Compliance - Assist with maintaining current campus and site permits. - Update permit bond tracking documentation. - Coordinate with local authorities to ensure permits remain current and compliant.
Responsibilities
- Support the Commissioning Manager in executing the full commissioning lifecycle from construction through turnover.
- Assist with coordination between the General Contractor, commissioning agents, subcontractors, vendors, and design teams.
- Participate in commissioning planning meetings and support schedule coordination activities.
- Coordinate internal alignment on document reviews, contract issuances, design changes, and cost optimization efforts.
- Lead coordination efforts between procurement, construction management, operations, and external contractors.
- Maintain strong working relationships with General Contractor and trade partner teams.
- Perform regular site walks to validate installation progress against schedule and sequencing at a high level.
- Develop, track, and manage MOPs for critical work in operational spaces.
- Manage contractor billing processes, including pay application review and coordination with Client finance teams.
- Commissioning Support & Coordination
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 5-10+ years of experience supporting or managing construction projects of increasing complexity
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
Nice to have
- Experience in low-voltage and/or electrical construction management strongly preferred
- Data center or mission-critical facility experience preferred
- Proficiency in Procore strongly preferred
Compensation
- $140,000 - $220,000 USD
