About the role

  • The ideal candidate has prior experience establishing quality systems from the ground up and is familiar with metalworking processes such as forging, casting, machining, or painting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Quality team
  • Build a Quality Management System (QMS) for defense-grade steel forgings, ensuring ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Lead audits and enforce standards to maintain top-quality, battle-ready products.
  • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) and statistical tools (Minitab, Excel) to maintain process consistency.
  • Drive lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve quality.

Requirements

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with RCCA tools
  • experience with R-Shiny.
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Systems, Reliability Engineering, Applied Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgy, or Materials Science.

Nice to have

  • 7-10+ years in quality management
  • background in defense, ammunition, aerospace, or complex manufacturing/assembly environments is a plus.
  • Experience with multi-stage processes operating on 24/7 schedules and previous work in multi-plant or distributed manufacturing systems is a plus.
