About the role

- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting large-scale applications, troubleshooting production environments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications
- Analyze business and technical requirements and implement scalable solutions
- Design and optimize SQL queries, database objects, and application performance
- Coordinate development efforts and support project planning activities
- Develop backup and recovery processes to ensure business continuity
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders
- Recommend system improvements and implement performance enhancements
- Support application modernization and migration initiatives
- Knowledge of database schema design and performance optimization
- The Employee will help our organization to identify and bridge the gap that exists in the business by analyzing the data, scale and support digital transformation initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 8+ years of experience supporting and enhancing large enterprise applications
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience with Atlassian tools, especially JIRA
- Experience with State of Texas applications
- Experience with Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) systems
