About the role
- Finning is growing fast-and so are the opportunities!
- We're hiring a Ticketed Maintenance Person for our Fort McKay shop facility.
- The successful candidate will be a Journeyman Electrician, and preference will be given to candidates who also have a Power Engineering Ticket.
Responsibilities
- Review inspection and repair documents for accuracy, completeness and adherence to scope requirements
- Using the CMMS program, maintain a history of all inspections and repairs
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years progressive experience in a facility maintenance related role is mandatory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present effectively
- Must be willing to obtain 4th Class Power Engineering Ticket on your own time
- You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position.
- Journeyperson Electrician, with preference given to those candidates who also have a Power Engineering Ticket.
- Proficient in computer maintenance management systems
- Understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment standards
- Strong planning and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills with strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt with ever changing business needs and implement continuous improvement opportunities
- Exceptionally strong relationship management skills with a strong customer focus
- This position is based out of Fort McKay Shop facility on a 7x7 continuous shift
- Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
- Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement

- Track and provide technical input/recommendations on inspection and repair reports
- Contact the appropriate vendors for prompt repairs
- Follow-up on recommendations for improvement and ensure implementation
