About the role

  • POSITION OVERVIEW This unionized position is responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of jigs, fixtures, and molds.

Responsibilities

  • Construct, maintain, and repair jigs, fixtures, and molds using machining and fabrication methods.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding and cutting.
  • Use standard measuring instruments and perform basic shop math.
  • Experience building tubular welded construction jigs and fixtures is an asset.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate is creative, motivated, takes pride in their work, and is committed to delivering high-quality results.
  • WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL Minimum 2 years of related machining, fabrication, or tool and die experience.
  • Proficiency with measuring tools and general machine shop equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of various metals and fabrication techniques.
