About the role

  • As a Staff Accountant within the Team Sports Department, you will serve as a critical bridge between talent, agents, and the accounting team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts receivable by monitoring aging reports and resolving billing discrepancies.
  • Partner closely with agents to coordinate the collection of funds from third-party brands and facilitate timely payments to talent.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts and investigate variances as needed.
  • Access support for travel and commuting needs, where available

Requirements

  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with shifting priorities.
  • Excel Skills: Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required, including daily use of formulas, data organization, reconciliations, and reporting functions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with shifting priorities.

Nice to have

  • 2+ Years of Experience in Public or Private Accounting preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Workday is a plus.

Skills

  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Workday is a plus.
  • Strong accuracy and organizational skills, especially when handling commission calculations and high-volume transactions.
