About the role
- Provide technical guidance on site assessment and remediation strategy (scope, schedule, & budget) development & execution.
- Provides technical guidance on remediation operations.
- Detailed knowledge of most aspects of the work function.
Responsibilities
- Recognize and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and financial stewardship.
- In addition, this role will ensure vendors / business partners understand, apply, and exhibit Chevron Way Behaviors ("High Performance Behaviors") and OE when executing work on behalf of the company.
- Demonstrated commitment to leading with purpose, building trust and inclusion, collaborating across boundaries, and delivering results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, geology, natural resources, or a related field, or equivalent directly related experience.
- Five or more years of experience in environmental remediation, reclamation, site assessment, or contaminated-site management.
- Working knowledge of soil and groundwater investigation, sampling and analytical programs, remedial or reclamation planning, contractor oversight, and project closeout.
- Experience overseeing environmental consultants, vendors, and subcontractors and holding service providers accountable for safety, compliance, cost, schedule, and performance.
- Proficiency with project controls, environmental data management, reporting, and common digital productivity tools.
- Ability to visit field sites, work in active project environments, and travel locally as needed
- valid driver's license required.
- Tactfully manage confrontation and difficult issues as required.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal environmental regulations and experience coordinating with regulatory agencies
- familiarity with Colorado requirements is strongly preferred.
