You will serve as the go-to expert for complex GAAP matters, ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting and driving operational excellence.

Lead technical accounting analysis in support of purchase accounting on M&A, including preparation of technical accounting memos and recording of JEs.
Support the transition of acquired company accounting to the respective BEP team, including the mapping of financials into BEP's chart of accounts and transition to NetSuite.
Collaborate with the M&A team on structuring earnout and other contingent consideration calculations and with FP&A on the measurement and reporting of subsequent achievement, including supporting analysis, journal entries and reconciliations.
Maintain and improve processes to support monthly close activities and internal controls.
Collaborate with, oversee and help develop junior accounting professionals within the reporting and corporate team.

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a strong knowledge of GAAP accounting, be highly analytical, detailed oriented, and be able to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related degree
CPA or equivalent.
3 to 5+ years of progressive accounting/audit experience.
Supervisory/managerial experience a plus.
Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and accounting operations
Experience with complex M&A accounting transactions
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and modern accounting tech stacks a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft's suite of business applications (e.g. Excel, Word, etc.)

Support the month-end close process preparing and/or reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis for complex accounting, including equity, self-insurance, intercompany reconciliations, etc.

Support implementation of new accounting guidance and other ad hoc initiatives as part of the corporate accounting team.
