About the role
- EPI Power is hiring a Procurement Engineer.
- The Procurement Engineer is responsible for overseeing the purchasing of materials for the Pre Fab Shop.
- This role orders materials and services, monitors delivery status, and facilitates communication between the project team and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and manage purchase orders, evaluate project schedule, and align delivery of materials accordingly
- Participate in the specification review, bid preparation, submittal review, and quote solicitation process to include developing supplier work statements, soliciting proposals, and negotiating costs
- Collaborate with logistics team members to ensure timely arrival of materials
- Issue and maintain department reports
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working in a purchasing function
- The Company is a drug and alcohol-free workplace and background checks are required if applicable.
Skills
- Understanding of material work planning and engineering methods in conjunction with purchasing requirements
- High level of initiative and excellent judgement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to work in a collaborative, supportive, team environment
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to multitask
- Proficient in basic computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to learn specific job-related software upon hire
