Responsibilities

  • Prepare/direct creation of all documents and deliverables necessary for gated project development, FEED & progressive capital funding
  • Prepare scope of work, bid documents, and coordinate with site Procurement group to execute contracts and manage commitments
  • Develop purchase requisitions for major equipment and large material purchases.
  • Is project lead between company and 3rd party engineering firms; responsible for ensuring that all design work meets applicable codes and regulations
  • Participates in capital planning exercises to maintain optimum use of project capital under dynamic circumstances
  • Manage field execution for small or low complexity projects as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or a related Engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a chemical plant, refinery, power generation facility, or similar industrial environment.
  • Experience with stage gated project management software
  • In accordance with Nutrien policies, you will be required to undergo a background check, and may be required to undergo a substance test.

Nice to have

  • PMP certification preferred
  • willingness to obtain certification is preferred
