About the role

- Frontier-Kemper, a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our office in Evansville, IN.
- The Senior Mechanical Designer will be given responsibility to direct other team members and coordinate scopes among multi-disciplinary groups.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate feedback and requirements from internal and external sources to determine the best path forward for various mechanical designs.
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to solve problems and create solutions.
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D mechanical designs, layouts, and fabrication drawings using CAD software.
- Create and maintain engineering drawings, assemblies, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and project teams to develop design concepts and solutions.
- Produce equipment layouts, piping designs, structural support details, and installation drawings.
- Perform design calculations and assist with engineering analysis as needed.
- Coordinate designs with civil, structural, electrical, and construction teams to ensure project integration.
- Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback from stakeholders.
- Support procurement by preparing material takeoffs and equipment specifications.
Requirements
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit, or similar CAD software.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, manufacturing processes, and drafting standards.
- Familiarity with GD&T and engineering specifications.

Nice to have
- bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience with heavy civil construction, mining, or industrial projects preferred.
- Working knowledge of applicable safety and industry standards such as OSHA, ASME, and ANSI preferred.
- Associate's degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field
