About the role

The Endoscopy Technician provides assistance to the physicians during endoscopic procedures.
To care for instruments and equipment being used during the procedures.
To anticipate the needs of the Endoscopist during the procedure and to plan and prepare appropriately.

Responsibilities

Maintains equipment in excellent condition and reports equipment malfunction to the nurse in charge by cleaning and testing the equipment to make sure it is working correctly.
Participates in staff meetings, attends in-services led by manufacturer representative of product and other conferences to update and maintain knowledge and skills in the Endoscopy field.
Performs secretarial duties.
Performs transporter and messenger duties when assigned by Head Nurse.

Requirements

High School Graduate or GED equivalency, required.
Computer literate with knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, and Olympus Image Manager, required.
Self-starter, team player, works well under pressure with strong interpersonal and manual dexterity skills, required.
Performs related duties, as required.

Nice to have

Nursing attendant experience preferred.
