About the role

  • The Registered Nurse should possess the knowledge and skill of how-to safety apply the nursing process to assess, plan and evaluate the care of patients with various health conditions.
  • Unit Overview This 30-bed unit provides care to patients with primary cardiac diagnoses, as well as to medical patients that require cardiac telemetry monitoring.
  • 4 South Acute/Cardiac is staffed by registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, health unit coordinators, and monitor technicians.

Nice to have

  • basic professional nursing degree required (BSN preferred).
  • Note, if the BSN or MSN degree is not present on hire, the employee must sign an agreement to obtain a within a specific time frame.
  • Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association).
  • Superb interpersonal, communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Competency in electronic patient management systems.
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting, preferably cardiac.
  • Required: Graduation from an accredited nursing program

Compensation

  • Pay is based on experience, skills and education.
  • Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
