About the role

  • Plans, directs and coordinates activities relating to the materials department activities including safety, quality, productivity and employee relations.

Responsibilities

  • Leads process improvement projects: productivity, quality, ergonomics, etc.
  • Collaborates with the Department and HR Managers in administering disciplinary action, when necessary.
  • Maintains employees' time related to the Attendance and Time-Off Policies Provides timely feedback on work performance and performance reviews.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of materials supervisory experience or 5+ years materials team leadership experience in a tier-one automotive manufacturing facility.
  • Descriptions are representative of those that must be met by employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

Skills

  • Excellent problem solving and leadership skills
  • Detail oriented and excellent documentation skills
  • Working knowledge of safety standards and OSHA guidelines
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MRP

Compensation

  • $55,675.68 - $81,658.04
