About the role
- The Field Technician - Recip Operator for PROPWR is responsible for the operation and maintenance of gas reciprocating engine packages used in power generation operations.
- This role involves monitoring power generation operations, conducting routine checks, and responding to any abnormalities in asset performance to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain good housekeeping practices in power generation operational areas.
- Maintain daily verification of operational log completion and maintain accurate records of operations and maintenance activities.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts on equipment and interfaces.
- Perform external visual checks of equipment, including walk-around inspections.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of gas turbine operations or electrical experience
- Must be able to work closely with others and under time-sensitive deadlines, which may include emergency response situations
- Must be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift
- Must be physical able to occasionally lift or move up to 80 pounds

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, or walk
- Able to read electrical and control drawings
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Able to safely operate and maintain assigned equipment during a 12+ hour work shift that will include days or nights, weekends, and holidays
- Able to perform duties safely in all weather conditions
- Responsive, action oriented
