About the role
- Beehive Industries is seeking a hands-on Technical Training & Standard Work Manager (Contractor) to help build and execute our engine assembly training program as we transition from development into production.
- This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments, enjoys creating order from ambiguity, and has a passion for developing technicians through standardized training.
- This leader will work side-by-side with operations leaders, engineers, and technicians to capture best practices, document standardized assembly processes, develop training content, and ensure employees are trained and qualified to consistently build high-quality engines.
Responsibilities
- Training Program Development Design and implement a structured technical training program for engine assembly technicians.
- Develop training curricula for new hires, cross-training, and advanced qualification.
- Build training plans that support production scaling and workforce flexibility.
- Create qualification standards, practical evaluations, and certification records for critical assembly tasks.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Development Assembly, and Manufacturing Operations to document current-state assembly processes.
- Create: Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Work Instructions Visual job aids Assembly guides Training videos Process flow documentation Checklists Maintain revision control of training documentation as processes mature.
- Hands-On Training Deliver classroom and on-the-job technical training.
- Support onboarding of new manufacturing operations employees.
- Partner with Operations, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering to improve repeatability and reduce variation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or other complex manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated experience assembling highly engineered mechanical systems.
- Ability to translate complex technical processes into clear, repeatable training content.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Ability to work independently while influencing cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work on the manufacturing floor for extended periods.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting production ramp-up from prototype or development into production.
- Experience with gas turbine engines, propulsion systems, aerospace assemblies, or rotating machinery.
- Background in Manufacturing Engineering, Technical Training, Industrial Engineering, or Production Operations.
- Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems.
- Experience creating technical illustrations, videos, or digital work instructions.
- Experience using PLM, MES, or electronic work instruction systems.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to use standard manufacturing tools and equipment.
Compensation
- $70k-$90k
