Responsibilities

  • Manage and evaluate inbound deal flow, from first screen to diligence to final investment recommendation.
  • Build strong relationships with founders, operators, investors, and startup ecosystem players. You'll represent Forum at events, host founder coffees, and share your POV in the market.
  • Support internal thesis development, including market mapping, trend analysis, and white-space identification.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with our Platform and Accelerator teams to ensure a world-class experience for the founders we back.
  • You love building authentic relationships and spotting talent early, whether through cold outreach, events, or a friend-of-a-friend intro.
  • We're a tight-knit team of operators, investors, and builders who love this work and genuinely care about the founders we support.

  • We invest in 75+ early-stage companies annually across North America, backing ambitious founders with capital, hands-on support, and a deep founder community.
  • As a member of our investment team, you'll play a lead role in sourcing top-tier startups, supporting investment decisions, and representing Forum Ventures in the market.

Requirements

  • You have 1-3 years of experience in tech startups, or been a former founder
  • You can write tight memos, distill complexity, and make the case for a founder or market.

Nice to have

  • You've built something yourself, side hustle, startup, newsletter, community, or have a founder's empathy from being on the other side of the table.
