About the role
- Reporting directly to the Director of Residence Life, the Assistant Director of Residence Life is an integral member of the staff of the Division of Campus Life & Student Development (CLSD).
- The Assistant Director is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the residence life program and supervision of four Residence Life Coordinators (RLCs).
- The Assistant Director will encourage a supportive and inclusive environment aligned with the values of Wofford College.
Responsibilities
- Serve on the campus-wide CARE team to triage students in need of additional resources or support
- Lead the Office of Residence Life in the absence of the Director of Residence Life
- The college community supports 19 NCAA Division I athletics teams and numerous student organizations, including honor societies, professional organizations, faith-based organizations, Greek life, and club sports.

Requirements
- Effective computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and respond effectively in high-stress or crisis situations
Nice to have
- Experience with housing/residence life software (direct experience with eRezLife is highly desirable)
- Experience directly supervising professional staff and/or graduate students
- Experience in an on-call rotation and/or with crisis response
- Demonstrated commitment to the values and goals of a residential, liberal arts college

Compensation
- Salary will be commensurate with experience.

- Residential Education - 40%
- Broadly oversee the residential education program, including the RA staff and cocurricular programming, primarily through the supervision of the Residence Life Coordinators (RLCs)
- Serve as a point of contact for residential violations alongside Residence Life Coordinators, coordinating adjudication of health and safety violations, pet violations, vandalism, etc.
