About the role

  • As a Business Recruiter, you will join a growing Recruiting team in San Francisco and take ownership of full-cycle hiring across various GTM, G&A, and Operations roles- from sourcing and outreach to offer.
  • Recruiting is one of the primary drivers of our growth, and maintaining a high hiring bar is central to how we operate.
  • This is a high-impact role where you will help shape the team and culture at one of the most exciting startups in AI.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting across GTM, G&A, and Operations functions, from intake and sourcing through offer and close
  • Act as a strategic partner to hiring managers to define role requirements, interview plans, and sourcing strategies
  • Build and maintain pipelines through proactive outbound outreach, competitive research, and community-based sourcing
  • Manage offers end-to-end, understanding what motivates each candidate and maintaining strong acceptance rates in competitive markets
  • Our team combines deep expertise in model innovation and systems engineering paired with a design-minded product engineering team to build and ship cutting edge models and experiences.
  • We're funded by leading investors at Index Ventures and Lightspeed Venture Partners, along with Factory, Conviction, A Star, General Catalyst, SV Angel, Databricks and others.

Requirements

  • A track record of closing top talent in competitive markets
  • Clear, confident communication with candidates and hiring managers, with the ability to grasp technical concepts, and pitch the company in a compelling way
  • Experience with ATS tools such as Ashby, and sourcing platforms like Juicebox

Nice to have

  • Agency recruiting experience or a blended background (agency + in-house) strongly preferred
  • Experience recruiting for additional functions such as Product or other technical roles
  • Note: Cartesia participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with Form I-9 information to confirm employment eligibility after hire.

Skills

  • 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience at a startup or high-growth tech company, preferably in AI, dev tools, or B2B SaaS environments
  • Strong sourcing and candidate engagement skills, with a creative approach to finding talent outside of the usual channels
