About the role
- Radiology nurses assist in a variety of procedures caring for patients from infancy to late adulthood.
- Modalities covered by radiology nurses include interventional radiology, CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and MRI.
- Nursing assists physicians in providing moderate sedation for most procedures done in radiology.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to execute a plan of care appropriate to the needs of the patients.
- Maintains appropriate skill/knowledge and application of relevant and commonly used equipment specific to area, pharmacology and laboratory values based on disease process or physiological status.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 Year / Associate Degree ASN
- Preferred 4 Year / Bachelors Degree BSN within 4 years of hire Experience
- Radiology experience in critical care, conscious sedation, interventional radiology, angiography and nuclear medicine experience desirable ACLS and PALS certification required
