About the role

  • Radiology nurses assist in a variety of procedures caring for patients from infancy to late adulthood.
  • Modalities covered by radiology nurses include interventional radiology, CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and MRI.
  • Nursing assists physicians in providing moderate sedation for most procedures done in radiology.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to execute a plan of care appropriate to the needs of the patients.
  • Maintains appropriate skill/knowledge and application of relevant and commonly used equipment specific to area, pharmacology and laboratory values based on disease process or physiological status.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 Year / Associate Degree ASN
  • Preferred 4 Year / Bachelors Degree BSN within 4 years of hire Experience
  • Radiology experience in critical care, conscious sedation, interventional radiology, angiography and nuclear medicine experience desirable ACLS and PALS certification required
